In 1969 two botanical illustrators from the Royal Botanical Garden at Kew, London, were invited to help in the campaign to save Israel’s wildflowers by drawing illustrations of Israel protected wildflowers. The 400 stunning drawings by Mary Grierson and Heather Wood illustrated posters, stamps, and other accessories for the campaign.
Ten years later, the original illustrations were seemingly lost.
In 2022 they were found, stored away secretly in the armory of the Israel Nature and Parks Authority.
We invite Israel nature and heritage lovers to support us in publishing an album of these wonderful paintings by pre-ordering a copy or copies.
The album is bi-lingual: English and Hebrew.
It is scheduled for release in February 2025.
